Without trying to toot my own horn, I personally think this is one of the best looks I have done to date. Recently I've been more adventurous and trying out some Arabic makeup styles, and this one is a bit more technically advanced than the green Arabic eye look I did before. I used THIS (CLICK HERE)picture as an inspiration, then adjusted it a bit to my own taste and changed the colors. If you're just starting out with makeup, this look might be a bit too difficult to do; but then again, you won't ever improve at makeup if you don't challenge yourself! I honestly never thought I could pull this off, but I did, so in a way this look was a milestone in honing my skills. This tutorial on Youtube shows you how to wrap the head scarf, also known as hijab.Products

Eyes: Urban Decay Primer Potion, Covergirl loose powder (for catching fallout), 88 eyeshadow palette (matte & satin finish), L'Oreal liquid eyeliner, MAC Brows in Spiked and a bit of black eyeshadow, black gel eyeliner from eBay, Maybelline white kajal pencil, NYX white eyeshadow, false lashes from eBay, Max Factor 2000 Calorie mascara

awesome job, this definitely took some skillz...i'm going to try an arabic look too, would you mind if i did it as a video response since you inspired me?
at: 10:12 PM said...
I have a question about using tape (like you did in this tutorial) to get sharp edges. Do you put on your foundation first? If so, how do keep the foundation from being removed by the tape while you're doing your eyes? Would something like Ben Nye final seal stop the tape from removing the foundation? Thanks!!!
at: 10:22 PM said...
Ren: That's no problem, post a video response if you want :)
Amber: Yes I apply foundation first and sometimes it does remove a little bit when you take the tape off. I just go over the area again with a cream concealer using a precise concealer brush.

Marhaba! As a European and Lebanese woman, in the cosmetology industry, your work is spectacualar. Many Americans do not understand the art of Arab make-up. Your tutroials are fabulous, and the hijab was very nice. In Lebanon it is not common, in the rest of the region it is, very intuitive and beautiful. Mabrouklations ! Gigi Masri-Ghibon

at: 9:44 AM said...
OMG! I have been trying to do a smokey eye for ever without success.. you are right btw! this is one of the most beautiful looks you have created. i love how the eyeshadow gradually changes from black to pink with out any lines!! it looks airbrushed. i tried it and it worked - kindda- didn't have the right colors so.... it didn't look as good. i guess i have to got buy me some new make up! heheh
im greek with dark brown eyes so dark colors (browns, black, gray) and pink looks good. but im 49 years old =[ do you think i can pull this off, or is it too too much make up for my age. i don't look 49 but my family thinks that i should just use some pencil and mascara with some beige shadow! yuck! I LOVE make up, but now im too self conscious. what do you think?
