Another discount makeup site - MAC and other brands

I was browsing on Specktra today and saw a few girls recommending another one of these discount makeup sites, stating they had purchased MAC items from there and they were authentic. The website is:

http://www.rock-the-catwalk.com/

I have purchased things before from allcosmeticswholesale.com before and their items were authentic, but some of the users on Specktra were saying that this Rock the Catwalk site has better shipping rates. Again, I have no idea how they get stock, but I do know my purchases from ACW were real MAC products. I might try out this new site.

Here's a European discounter that a reader has also mentioned, claiming the items she ordered were authentic:

http://www.love-makeup.co.uk/

Again, I cannot vouch that these items from these two new websites are indeed authentic, as I haven't ordered there myself, but it might be worth looking into. Anyone had an experience with these sites and can vouch for their authenticity?

I'm also interested in European sites like this one.. I'm guessing shipping costs would be a bit less than it is now when one's "stuck" with ordering from the US. ;)
From this particular site I'm mostly interested in the limited edition beauty powder blushes. So if this is legit then I'm probably going to order.

Re: Love-makeup.co.uk
I have no idea if they are real and in fact, they hv (fast moving though) some items which are limited edition or discontinued.

If you want to see some of the stuff bought or hear a review of his experience, check out whatstyleistonickel

He's a huge MAC fan so I guess credibility shdn't be too big of a problem as far as authenticity of the product is concerned.

Yes, rock the catwalk is authentic, or at least I believe so too.

Another one I think is authentic is http://www.cocktailcosmetics.co.uk/

I have bought from their ebay stores, not directly from their sites, but I received authentic products, so these sites are prob the real deal too.

today my package from love-makeup.co.uk came :)

i ordered sumptuos olive and velvet moss refill along with a tinted lip conditioner.
i'm new to mac, so i can only compare it to what i have :)
both eyeshadows have - as far as i can tell - authentic packaging, i checked the stickers and numbers and it seemed okay but on the other hand i don't have any refills, just normal eyeshadows.
the "smell" of the eyeshadows is like my other ones, the color is like the ones i saw on various swatches. the size is also the same :)
i put both in an empty 4 palette by mac but i noticed that the pans are slightly smaller than the "wholes" for the pans. is it normal? i did not buy that palette on love makeup, maybe its a fake?
okay, now to the lip conditioner. it smells like my lipstick does, somehow like vanilla. it also looks like the ones i saw on pictures.
the sticker on the bottom says "strobe beam tinted lip conditioner stick spf 15". beneath that sticker are another ones, of course i pulled them off out of curiosity and it shows the same in french, the ingridients and the weight.

i hope this helps you a lot, to me they look absolutely authentic but again, i'm using mac since 3 months now and i may be not that experienced.

thanks for the websites julia! :)

Well,
I am quite desappointed with allcosmeticswholesale.com. Shipping is fast but shipping costs are too expensive and the lisptick I've got smells old and weird and broke at the base of the stick :(

I just ordered a MAC brush set from http://www.love-makeup.co.uk/. Including shipping it came to be about $65!

If you're in the USA like me, don't be afraid to buy from an international site. A lot of times their shipping is actually CHEAPER than buying from inside the states...of course this is just my experience.

Thanks so much Julia ;)

I'm also getting some needed foundation and concealer and some Dazzleglass in Funtabulous and Rue de Rouge from allcosmeticswholesale.com

I just received my package from rock-the-catwalk. So happy :) Shipping was cheap, seller was really nice and helpful. Would definietly recommend this site to anyone. I paid less than half for the Mac products I bought than if I had bought them in Australia :0

I just ordered some MAC Dazzleglass from rock-the-catwalk. I really, really hope what I receive is authentic. I bought Dazzleglass in Steppin' Out from seller: tructowa on eBay . . . I am certain it's not authentic. It doesn't have the "feel" or the vanilla aroma. And the glitter doesn't remain on my lips after the shine has disappeared. I just threw it out and will notify PayPal and eBay about my dissatisfaction. Tructowa guaranteed authentic products on its eBay store front.

What about the Sigma brushes? Is sigma in itself a good brand? and could the sigma brushes on love-makeup.co.uk be fakes??

I was also wondering if the sigma brushes on love-makeup.co.uk would be authentic as it costs so much to ship from America?

last week, i purchased from rock the catwalk based on your suggestion and love it. the things I got were the mac violet pigment for cheap, $14 only i think it was and some glitter and ice lipsticks that sold out at my local mac store. for other brands i got some urban decay eyeshadows and nyx stuff. i tried the nyx pigments because they have some colors that mac doesnt have and honestly the quality is very comparable to mac. i didnt know about nyx too much until i saw some you tube reviews and then some color swatches on karla sugar blog and they are beautiful. overall good shopping experience. shipping cheap and fast. i think i will continue to buy mac here because they have a decent selection and i dont have to pay sales tax like i do when i go to my store or buy from maccosmetics.com. the only thing i wish they carry more nars since i like their stuff too. thank you for posting information julia. i like to read your blog and go on you tube and see your tutorials. i love your accent too ;)

I found a great site www.thecosmeticswholesalers.com I have made two purchases make up and skincare. All items I have received are fresh & real. The only thing is they only ship within the USA.

I purchased from Rock The Catwalk based on all the reviews I've seen on various sites (was very skeptical at first). I live in the states and I live right outside NYC most of the year for school. Well our sales tax is almost 9% so I find it cheaper to buy from their site and pay for shipping then it is to buy from the MAC store 20 minutes away. The owner is very nice and responsive since I contacted her about the lipsticks that didn't have the color labels on the box and was printed instead. That was when I was a MAC newbie and didn't know any better but she explained that MAC has been printing the color names on the lipstick boxes and going away from the labels and that the only products that have labels are usually the discontinued lipsticks. She was so helpful in explaining about authentic vs. counterfeit and thought it was nice that she took the time since some of the other sites don't even bother to return a message. I really recommend this place since many people, including myself, can vouch they have the best customer service around.

Yes I don't think any Sigma brushes are counterfeit. If someone was going to go through all the trouble of copying, they would counterfeit MAC. I wish rock the catwalk carried sigma.
